...Well we did test fly our ship yesterday. Stayed up only 50 min but gave it a good check. Was supposed to have an instructor pilot but he didn't show up so I took her off solo. First time I've flown in two months. Kinda rusty to tell the truth. Well every body is rusty. We flew down over Lae & went back out on the ocean quite a distance. Don't know when we will start this ferry job but hope it will be soon.
The letters are pouring in. Yes Mama you are faithful in your letter writing & they are good & interesting. Say Mama I'm sending a letter that Mrs Tate that's my Co Pilot's Mother, wrote you but didn't reach there. I met them in Pueblo & they are very nice people & I like them a lot. This Co-pilot is a good kid or at least you tell them I think so. If you answer her letter & shoot her a line of Sh-t.
Got two letters from Billy. Very glad to hear from him. I'll see him one of these days if he comes near Manila. Guess we will be stationed near there for a while.
I've written quite a few letters. Wrote Grandma, Aunt Ruth & of course my gal friends. This pretty nurse writes me very frequently...
