Sept 18, 1945

How is every one? I'm fine shape, I hope. I'm in excellent shape. Put in another 12:15 flight yesterday. Took a crew just from the states on their first mission. Another recon. To Formosa. They are flying me pretty heavy now. Three flights in six days. Looks like I'd have been better off if they had continued the war.
They are having quite a few typhoons over here now. We went near one yesterday & couldn't complete our search on account of it. Always have to fly thru a bunch of thunder storms on every flight. Boy does the rain pour into these B-24's. I was so tired last nite I couldn't hardly walk.
No mail for three days now. Guess they are going to let us do with out now that the war is over. Say we were supposed to move to Manila but they've changed their minds. I guess when we leave here & I don't think it will be long. We will go directly to the states. "Home Alive by Forty Five." Our motto now I guess...
