...Been busy as heck building a shack. Came in here & had no place to live. Went down to the Sea Bees & they gave enuf bunks & about 100 yards of screen wire. Also 4 tents. Didn't need but one. Have plenty of room also a porch for those cool nights. Very nice place to live. Wish we could have one that good for the duration.
Very nice here. Food is wonderful. Steak everyday. Also a nice club with plenty of cokes. Say I wouldn't worry too much about your little son drinking beer. He won't get that habit. Believe me.
Say the censorship is pretty rigid here & I won't tell you too much but don't worry about that. I'll try to write frequently.
Well finally got the crew all together as you know we are in our permanent outfit. Called the "Bomber Barons" and is they say the best group in the 13th A.A.F. Looks good to me. The fellows here are swell to us & the set up is O.K.
Say I met Cravens here, he was with me at C.T.D. [College Training Detachment] the one that was married there. Several other boys I know. Good to see them.
Well I'd better sign off we are having a U.S.O. Show & I'll have to get over to see it.

Love Oscar
