Dear Folks

Well here I go again. Haven't received a letter for a few days now. Just wonder if you're still writing. I'll bet I'm writing more than I'm receiving right now. Well I have plenty of time. Not much flying now. I've flown one search mission up around Formosa this mo. & that's all. Last month I got 70 hrs & that isn't bad. All first pilot time & 20 hr of actual instruments, that's flying in clouds.
Say I'm going to start sending in a few snap shots & bills in the letters, just keep them & don't paste them in a album. I want to do that myself when I get there. I'll probably send a few souvenirs, don't give too many away.
I'm right happy this morning. Got a letter from Billy yesterday. In Japan & had that gold leaf. You can believe it or not but I'd rather see him make major than myself to make 1st. Well I won't, so don't worry. They've stop sending in promotions. I guess I was in line for it too. Tough sh-t.
Say when Billy gets there have him write & tell me the chances of bringing some equipment home with me, that is unauthorized stuff. I have a nice pair of field glasses here & I'd really like to get them home...
